Why we exist
Ogechi Collective was founded by Rachel Ogechi Kanu to bring different voices into the same frame. Film is where we begin. Connection is what we’re here for.
We make original work rooted in African experience, and we make it together, with the writers, performers, crews and communities whose stories deserve room on screen.

For Rachel, storytelling lives at the meeting point of culture, community and creativity.
Her Nigerian-American heritage shapes a practice that moves between worlds. With Toujours Là, she brought together her love for the French language and the stories of Nigerian youth navigating the space between their artistic desires and their basic needs.
With Ogechi Collective, she’s making that space a little bigger.
